May 2013
May 2013 has been a busy month for us. Uncle Jeff came for a visit and he and Jayson ran the Toronto Marathon. This was Jayson's first marathon and Uncle Jeff's 6th (I think). Both did great, considering it was 20 degrees warmer than usual.
While Uncle Jeff was here, we all went to our first Blue Jays game. For their fist baseball game, the kids did awesome!
Music Monday also was celebrated while Uncle Jeff was here. He was able to go to the school and see the kids skype with Commander Chris Hadfield aboard the International Space Station.

Connor was a;ready obsessed with the galaxy, but they have been watching a lot of Commander Hadfield's videos in school and his obsession has increased. He told Mrs. O'Doherty that he wants to go to Mars when he gets big.
Here is his new favorite song and video. We watch it at least 3 times a day.

Kids both start soccer next week, which should be a lot of fun! School is out for the summer on June 28. I can't believe our first school year is almost in the books. Kids have learned so much, already reading by themselves and they wrote their first books! So exciting!

Good Bye 2012! Hello 2013!
A few days late, but better late than never right?
We warmed the garage up and let them ride their bikes in there.
We have been skating
Both kids skated so well, it was like they never took a skating break! Connor watched a little league hockey game today, and has talked about wanting to play hockey now!
We also went sledding:
It was nice to have a 2 week break with them, but they are really looking forward to going back to school, and seeing their friends. Although we did have friends over, apparently it wasn't the same.
The kids have been out of school for 2 weeks, and they were not happy about this. I thought most kids enjoyed school breaks and counted the days. But not mine! We had to make a count down chain for the first day back from Winter Break.
Christmas was good. They asked Santa for a bicycle, and the fat man remembered! Right down to the colours requested!
