Happy May 13th!

Connor reading his book (shhh! don't tell him it's upside down).
ahhhh! Curling up on Daddy's lap watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

We went and played at this wonderful playground this morning and got so dirty!

So I told the kids that they needed to take a bath before they went to bed. They love taking baths so much, they raced up the stairs and tried opening the bathroom door. They were so excited, they couldn't wait. They jumped in the tub fully clothed.

Happy Mothers Day! (yesterday)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day! We have had an eventful week! First it was Jayson's birthday on Friday, Mothers Day on Sunday and we will be celebrating our anniversary on the 13th. To celebrate Jayson's birthday, he took the day off from work and he went to the zoo with us. I think he would have enjoyed it a lot more if there weren't so many school field trips there. Because there were so many people at the zoo, the kids had to stay in their stroller. Zoo Atlanta is located in historic Grant Park, so we found a shady area and let them run! And boy did they run!We are practicing walking while holding mom's hands. Connor was walking on the side closet to the cars, and he had to touch every single one on the way to the van. After we got home, we dropped the van off at the dealership, so they could fix the brakes. The dealership called Saturday morning and said we could come pick it up, so we loaded the kids in the back of the jeep. Jayson has been wanting to take them out in the jeep. Hennessey Honda is close o the house, so we thought this would be a great time for it.
We also took Connor, Caitlin and Kaiser to a local elementary school. They have a huge fenced in playground they all could run around in.

Sunday, was Mothers Day and I was able to sleep in! I can't remember the last time I was able to sleep in to 9:30am! It was wonderful! We went to Uncle Jeff and Aunt Lynne's house Sunday afternoon to celebrate Jayson's birthday. The kids had so much fun!

First Jeep Ride!

The van had to go to the dealer for a vibration in the brakes, so when they called and said it was done, Jayson threw the carseats in the back of the jeep. He has been talking about taking the kids out for a spin in the jeep for a little while now. I think they enjoyed it a little bit.

Splash Table Fun!

Today we bought the kids a splash table. You push different areas and it makes noise and spits water out of the octopus. Now all I have to do is figure a way to keep Caitlin from standing in it.

18 Month Check Up!

We went to the doctor on Friday for Connor and Caitlin's 18 month checkup! Growing like little weeds!
Caitlin is 33 3/4 inches tall and weighs 26lbs 5 ounces.
Connor is 33 1/2 inches tall and weighs 28lbs even.
Caitlin has gained 5 ounces in 3 months is almost 2 inches taller and Connor, he lost 8 ounces and also grew almost 2 inches. And because Connor's head hasn't grown any since his 9 month check up, he gets to go visit the nurse in 6-8 weeks to be remeasured.

A Rough Week

It has been a very rough week here in the Keever house. The weather here has gone from cold to I am melting hot overnight. Ordinarily, I wouldn't complain too loud, but this year my air conditioning unit died. Oh yeah, did I mention the pollen count went from 100 to 5792 overnight? Yeah, that means the windows have to stay closed, I hate dusting. The family gathered here for Easter, which was great! The kids enjoyed showing everyone what the Easter bunny brought them.
Monday we were able to get someone here to look at the air conditioning. Great news! We needed to replace it! Yipppeee! Jayson had to fly to Philadelphia for a few days on Tuesday, which usually isn't a big deal. We went to the zoo Tuesday. I forgot it as spring break here, so we shared the zoo with the rest of Metro Atlanta. Our neighbor Shannon had never been to the zoo here, so she went with us. It was fun, even with all the people.
It went downhill Wednesday. Caitlin woke up in a bad mood, the guys came to replace our ac unit. I had a (1) kitchen chair up on the table. Caitlin decided to climb out of her highchair onto the kitchen table. She knocked the chair into one of our kitchen windows, breaking the window.
The men installing our AC were kind enough to cut out a piece of cardboard out and covered the window until we can get it fixed. I am lucky I have such an awesome neighbor! I love Miss Becky! I called her and before I hung up the phone, she was walking in the door. Minus the little piece of glass that was in Caitlin's foot, nobody was hurt. Thursday and Friday were pretty uneventful, but Saturday morning, it started again. Apparently I was walking into the kitchen and Connor decided to follow me. He stumbled and fell into the corner of the chair giving himself a wonderful black eye.
Poor little dude. It was all puffy and tonight before he went to bed it was looking worse!
Thank goodness the week is over! I wouldn't wish a week like this on anybody!
The kids are 18 months tomorrow. We go to the doctor for our 18 month checkup on Friday. But they are saying so many words! The can say, Hot dog, shoes, hot, puppy, Kaiser, momma, dadda, baby, book, bath, and refer to my dad and grandpa as Poppa. Oh they will both yell moo when they want milk. We read the same 6 books over and over and over and over again. I guess the good thing is they like books.
