Having fun with Aunt Sara!

Sara flew in for a long weekend. We have enjoyed seeing her, and it's nice to have another person to help chase down the midgets. We went to the Aquarium on Friday. We tried out the kids' new harnesses, but it was so crowded, we still didn't let them walk as much as they wanted too.
While we were at the aquarium, a Harlem Globetrotter was setting up to sign autographs. Connor and Caitlin watched him spin the ball on his finger and thought it was the bees knees!
We also took Aunt Sara to the playground since the weather was enjoyable! There were a set of 8 year old girl twins playing and I think Connor fell in love. He kept following them. They dug a hole in the sand, and Connor walked in it and fell, looked up at the with his flirty smile and laughed. He followed them to the slides and found a tennis ball to throw to them. He is such a ladies man!
Here are some other pictures that Aunt Sara took.
Aunt Sara's camera made a click sound and it made Caitlin curious. He is either very happy or very clingy. This picture shows a very happy boy!We are going to the zoo on Monday. It will be the kids' visit visit there.

Apples, Snow and Ghosts

Connor and Caitlin just love apples! Their favorite snack is apples. I ask them if they want an apple, and they race to see who can get to the fridge first.
Caitlin apparently is telling Connor off for doing something. And see how much he cares?

They are such big little people! They love to play out on the back deck and climb up on the furniture! They like to stand on the coffee table, but they get into trouble for that! I don't need for them to crash through the glass.
Caitlin has decided she loves to walk around with a blanket over her head, like she is a ghost.
She will find Connor and tackle him. Once she has him down, she likes to tickle him. I guess what is so funny about this, is you can hear her say "ticka, ticka, ticka". And Connor just laughs and laughs. I tried to take some video of it, but if they notice you holding a camera, they turn into statues.
Here is a picture of Connor trying to make the popping sound with his finger and mouth. He hasn't figured it out yet, but he is close.
February 12, it snowed 4 inches here! What makes this worth noting, we live in the south. There is no snow removal equipment here, so when it snows, you are stuck at home until the ice melts.
Connor is not really a big fan of the snow. But who can blame him?Caitlin was a little bit more adventurous, but she only wanted to stay out for a little bit.
This is our baby snow man! We would have made him bigger, but it was cold and we didn't have any gloves.
It snowed and iced over on a Friday, melted and was almost 60 degrees two days later!

New Backpacks

I bought the kids harnesses that double as backpacks. I think this will make trips out a lot less stressful. The kids picked these out themselves, and carried them through the store. They started to throw a temper tantrum when I took them away to pay for them. When we got home, I let them wear them around the house without the leash attached.

Dude is always looking for a reason to smile.Caitlin's hair seems to always be in her eyes. I try to keep it pulled up and out, but it always seems to escape. Jayson likes long hair, and would like for Caitlin's to be long. When her hair is wet, it hangs past her shoulders!
Here are pictures of them wearing their new shoes. They love them!
They are too big, they will be able to wear them for a few months! They love wearing them and running around the house, stomping their feet. I guess they like the sound on the floors!

New Shoes

So the kids got a new pair of shoes for Valentines. I know, nit very exciting, but they almost outgrew their other shoes. We have had a problem with Caitlin taking her shoes off and hiding them. So I thought, hey! why not buy her shoes that lace up? It may slow her down a little.
Caitlin's shoes.
Connor's shoes.
Their little toes don't quite reach past the shoe laces, but they are little weeds and should be able to wear them for a few months.

Caitlin, I can't wait for you to learn to brush your own hair!
And Connor, your smile makes me smile and laugh!

New Things

Today we used one of our Me and Mommy passes to the Aquarium. We were going stir crazy! We went early and almost had the place to ourselves! It was so much fun!

Connor pointing to the Coral.
Just some colorful beautiful fish.
We had so much fun! Next time we are going to invest in some child leashes so the kids can walk around instead of being cooped up in their stroller. It may sound mean, but I let them out of their stroller, Connor ran left, Caitlin busted right. It was lucky the aquarium wasn't too crowded, the person talking about the whale sharks was nice enough to catch and bring Caitlin back.
