The Bradford Pear Tree
This is my Bradford Pear Tree. I love trees, I hate this one! They are great shade trees, being all nicely shaped and all, but when they get to a certain age or height, they come down. They are all over our neighborhood, or rather they were. This one is getting to the point of falling. We have already lost a few big branches off it. Hopefully when it goes, it falls either in the side yard or across the driveway. But knock on wood, knowing my luck, it will fall towards the house. This is the scenario Jayson is hoping for, it may help us expand the garage to a three car!

Happy Mommy Moment!
So I have decided to start with the potty training. I figure this will probably be a 6 month thing and we started yesterday. I thought I would let them sit on the potty for a minute every time I change their diaper, until they get used to sitting on it and flushing the big toilet. So far so good. No screaming fits yet. The only problem we are having is getting them to wait their turn. This morning Caitlin tried sitting down all by herself! Once she was on, she smiled real big and started clapping! I am a happy mommy right now. Hopefully this is a good sign! Connor still doesn't look real comfortable sitting there, but he is starting to like flushing the toilet! I know we have a long way to go, but I am so excited for them! They are getting so big! And my little babies are growing up! It makes me sad thinking that one day they won't need me like they do now, so I am going to cherish this time with them!

Fun Times
We had a busy day today! We went to Jayson's work and visited the people I used to work with. Man I miss them tons! I miss laughing with Miss Gloria and Miss Alice! Because it was such a nice day outside, Jayson took half the day off to hang out with us. We took the kids to McDonalds for the first time, they have started to eat chicken nuggets. They were so awesome there, not screaming and making a ruckus! Then we went to the zoo! Connor thought everything was funny. The panda bear was eating, and he laughed.
The otters cam over and posed for a picture, he laughed.
The gorillas were hanging out napping, and he laughed.
The giraffes and zebras walked by and he laughed.
He was just one giggly dude today. Caitlin laughed too, just not like him!

When we got home, Courtney and Shannon came over to play! I don't know who loves them more, me or Connor and Caitlin. The girls will come over and just play with the kids. It makes it nice because while they are over, I can get some things done around the house. Today we went out on the deck and were blowing bubbles!

Tomorrow is going to be a nice day! Yay! Spring is finally here!

AAAGH!
Let the terrible 2's begin!
Trust me it didn't end well! They both fell and landed on their heads. It has been a frustrating couple of days. They cry when they fall, but I can't seem to keep them off of things. When they are both screaming, I want to join the screaming. They are starting to assert their independence, which means I try to keep from banging my head up against the wall. You try to tell them it is not safe, but they don't understand.
It was a nice day, until the dark clouds rolled in and looked threatening. We went to the park. What better way to get them to sleep than letting them run themselves to exhaustion? Both love throwing themselves down the slide. Connor just happens to come down head first.

Some days are just better than others. So here is to better days! May they be here soon!
